These funds would provide support for:

  • Faculty time to pursue important scholarly efforts
  • Assist in areas of recruitment and retention
  • Help align UTMB primary care missions with the national primary care stage.
  • All these areas are critical to the future of our department. 

 

The Dr. Jamal Islam Memorial Memorial Fund

Islam Fund Progress

This endowment was created in memory of Dr. Islam to:

  • Directly benefit the Family Medicine Residency Program by providing funds to support resident training.


Individuals wishing to make a one-time gift to the 
Family Medicine Development Fund or the Dr. Jamal Islam Memorial Fund

1)   mail a check with your completed Gift Commitment Form [DONATION FORM LINK] to the following:  UTMB Development Office, Attn: the Family Medicine Development Fund or the Dr. Jamal Islam Memorial Fund, 301 University Boulevard, Galveston, Texas 77555-0148; or

2)   provide credit card authorization by calling 409-772-5136 or through the UTMB Development website:  https://development.utmb.edu/give  Under designation please select “Other” then enter the Family Medicine Development Fund or the Dr. Jamal Islam Memorial Fund in the designation field; or

3)   If you are a UTMB Health employee, you may give by payroll deduction.  Please complete the payroll authorization document found at https://intranet.utmb.edu/payrollgifts/#/. Please enter Fund Description as the Family Medicine Development Fund or the Dr. Jamal Islam Memorial Fund. 

Remember, all gifts are tax deductible.  Gifts may also be pledged over a period of up to 5 years, and can be fulfilled through monthly, quarterly, or annual installments. If assistance is needed with any of the ways to give, donors can contact UTMB Development at 409-772-5136.
