Cancellation & No-Show Policy
The HEC uses the ProClass software as a course registration system for courses offered to both the internal and external community. Below are the General Policies associated with HEC courses offered through ProClass.
- Reschedules: A Participant may reschedule one time, 24 hours prior to the class start time, rescheduling is free of charge.
- Cancellations: If notified prior to 24 hours of the class start time, a refund may be issued. Within 24 hours, the class payment is non-refundable.
- No Call/No Show: No refunds are given. This consists of no prior notification through text, call, or email of your absence prior to the class start time.
- Arriving Late: Arrival 15 minutes post-class start time; we will ask you to reschedule, and the respective rescheduling fees will apply. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early
Initials vs Renewals for Life Support Courses:
- Initials – Students who are taking the course for the first time or expired certification(s).
- Renewals – Students with a current American Heart Association (AHA) Card. You must present a current AHA card upon sign in to the class.
- Age Limit: 15 years, any minors must have their legal guardian sign and submit a Parental Consent Form (See Appendix K) prior to participation in any course. Consent will be stored on the HEC Departmental secure SharePoint system.
