Stephanie Zepeda, PharmDAssociate Vice President for Pharmacy Services


zepeda04Dr. Stephanie Zepeda is the Associate Vice President for Pharmacy Services and serves in the primary leadership role for CMC Pharmacy Services.  She oversees and directs all pharmacy-related services and is responsible for strategic planning, client services, and providing operational and financial oversight.  CMC Pharmacy Services are provided to approximately 130,000 patients at 108 correctional facilities statewide.  She also has oversight of the University’s 340B Program with its 223 registered locations.  

Dr. Zepeda graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1997.  She continued her studies and completed a post-graduate Pharmacy Practice Residency With An Emphasis In Managed Care with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 1998.  

Dr. Zepeda has 27 years of correctional pharmacy experience serving county, state, and federal prisons and jails.  She began her career as a clinical pharmacist with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy serving the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.  In 2000, she joined UTMB Correctional Managed Care.   Since joining UTMB CMC, she has served in the roles of Pharmacy Clinical Practice Specialist, Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Director, and Associate Vice President.
