Dr. Jesse Erasmus is the Director of Virology at HDT Bio, a startup company in Seattle, WA. Jesse received his PhD from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed his postdoctoral train at the Infectious Disease Research Institute and the University of Washington. His research is focused on the development of platform technologies, beginning with the first application of insect specific viruses as platforms for vaccines and diagnostics at UTMB and more recently with the development of non-viral delivery of replicating RNA as a gene-expression platform for vaccines and therapeutics.
