Dr. Harold S. Pine graduated in the top 1% at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He was elected to the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha during his third year. He completed his five-year residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then went on to complete a clinical and research fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, England. This tertiary care center is world renowned for advances in the field of pediatric otolaryngology. Dr. Pine is currently a tenured Associate Professor of pediatric otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Dr. Pine reads extensively and continues to attend both national and international meetings in his field.
Additionally, Dr. Pine is an active participant in yearly medical missions to Vietnam and the team leader for the Everest Medical Expedition. His particular areas of interest include tonsil and adenoid problems, recurrent ear infections, foreign body removal, and airway evaluations.
Dr. Pine was inducted into the Academy of Master Teachers in 2017.
