Juan Feng, PhD, MA, RN, CNE

Dr. Feng is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at UTMB. She received her PhD in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has a Master of Science in Nursing degree and a Master of Arts degree in Plant Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences was from Peking University in China. She is a Certified Nurse Educator by the National League for Nursing. Recognized for her exceptional teaching abilities, she has received accolades such as "Most Inspiring Teacher" and "Best Lecturer" from the Student Nurses Association, as well as the prestigious "Educator of the Month" award from the Academy of Master Teachers. Her dedication to education has also been acknowledged with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) ADMIRE award for innovation for her contributions to the Dedicated Education Unit project. Dr. Feng has demonstrated leadership through mentoring junior faculty members and serving as the faculty advisor for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association at UTMB. Additionally, she is a Jonas Scholar and a Certified Apple Teacher. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She has published in peer-reviewed journals as both primary author and co-author, reflecting her commitment to advancing nursing education and research.

Dr. Feng was inducted into the Academy of Master Teachers in 2024.
