Day 07: What is a curb-cut?

A curb-cut is the area of a curb that is cut out and formed into a ramp; providing wheelchair users access to the sidewalk. Though the first wheelchair was created in 1595; curb-cuts have become commonplace because of disability activists in Berkeley, CA back in the 1970s who "installed" the first ramps on their own in the middle of the night.
