Writing good link text is easy with a little practice. One thing to remember is that when people use a screen reader, they will often only hear the text of the link, not the surrounding text. It is important to make sure the link text is understandable and clear on its own.
On Day 55 we learned the basics of creating good link text. Now let's see what the looks like.
Incorrect:
Click here to learn more about digital accessibility (Don't use click here in link text)
Good:
Learn more about digital accessibility (This is ambiguous as to what type of accessibility)
Better:
Learn more about digital accessibility (This is better, but "learn more" isn't very descriptive about the content)
Best:
Get started with our digital accessibility overview (Clear call to action and description of the content.)
